Discover Rudy's Pizza Napoletana - Ancoats

Rudy's Pizza Napoletana - Ancoats is one of Manchester's most beloved spots for authentic Neapolitan pizza. Nestled at 9 Cotton St, Ancoats, M4 5BF, this cozy pizzeria brings the rich flavors of Italy right to the heart of the city. With its warm atmosphere and exceptional pizza, it has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike.

From the moment you step inside, the casual, welcoming vibe sets the tone for a fantastic dining experience. Whether you're popping in for a quick bite or settling in for a leisurely evening with friends, Rudy’s offers a relaxed setting that's perfect for any occasion. The décor is modern yet understated, and the open kitchen gives a glimpse into the magic that happens behind the scenes, where the pizza dough is expertly stretched and topped with the finest ingredients.

The menu at Rudy's Pizza Napoletana - Ancoats is a testament to the simplicity and excellence of traditional Neapolitan pizza. The pizza dough is made fresh every day, and it’s this dough that forms the foundation of their delicious pizzas. Using only the best quality ingredients, such as San Marzano tomatoes, mozzarella di bufala, and extra virgin olive oil, each pizza is a true celebration of Italian craftsmanship.

One of the standout pizzas at Rudy’s is the classic Margherita, a must-try for any pizza lover. Topped with rich tomato sauce, creamy mozzarella, and fresh basil, it’s a simple yet stunning pizza that showcases the quality of the ingredients. Another favorite is the Pepperoni, with generous slices of spicy pepperoni and a perfect balance of cheese and sauce. For those who enjoy a bit of a twist, Rudy’s also offers a selection of unique pizzas, such as the Bianchi, which features ricotta, garlic, and spinach - a savory delight that’s hard to resist.

What sets Rudy's apart from other pizzerias is their commitment to authentic Neapolitan methods. Their wood-fired ovens reach extremely high temperatures, cooking each pizza in just 90 seconds. This rapid cooking process results in a perfectly charred crust with a soft, airy interior - the hallmark of a great Neapolitan pizza. The dough, which is left to ferment for 24 hours, ensures a light and flavorful base that complements the rich toppings.

Beyond the pizza, Rudy’s also offers a selection of antipasti, salads, and desserts. For those starting their meal, the Caponata (a Sicilian vegetable stew) is a flavorful choice, packed with sweet and tangy flavors. To finish, you can’t go wrong with the Tiramisu, which is made fresh daily and has the right balance of coffee and cream, making for a satisfying end to your meal.

The service at Rudy's Pizza Napoletana - Ancoats is another highlight. The staff are friendly, attentive, and passionate about pizza, offering helpful recommendations and ensuring that each guest feels well taken care of. The atmosphere is laid-back, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. The pizzeria’s location in Ancoats, a trendy neighborhood with a mix of old and new, adds to the charm of the experience.

If you’re in Manchester and craving an authentic pizza experience, Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana - Ancoats should be at the top of your list. With its unbeatable pizza, exceptional service, and cozy atmosphere, it’s clear why this pizzeria has garnered such a loyal following. • Food was incredible and somehow service was even better. Emily took her time to chat and ask a little about us while we were deciding what we wanted. She also helped us to experience burrata for the first time. Really feels homely. You will see us again very soon. Thank you so much Emily for making the experience even better.

  • This place was great, the staff were lovely, the food was awesome. Totally recommend the pizza and dips. The only thing that let it down for me was that I nipped in to the toilet and the gents was occupied so I popped into the disabled loo and was confronted by a swarm of around 10 mosquitoes circling in the middle of the toilet cubicle - horrific for someone who doesn't like these blood sucking beasts and desperate to sash their shoes. I had to go through with it and hope for the best . I didn't let this spoil my time there, but could have done without the experience.

  • Best pizza experience ever! My "all-time favorite pizza" ranking just changed today. I had the Triple Pepperoni pizza with chilli honey as a dipping sauce, paired with their signature pale ale. Honestly, I finished the whole plate by myself, and even on my way home, I couldn't stop thinking about the flavors. This was my first meal out in Manchester, and it was the best choice I could have made. I also have to mention the staff—they are the sweetest and most welcoming people. Thank you for making my day.

  • We visited Rudy’s Pizza on Saturday evening around 9:00 PM, about an hour before closing, and were pleasantly surprised by how smoothly everything went. Despite the place being busy, we were seated immediately without any wait, and the staff had no issue accommodating the three of us. Since it was getting late, we decided to place our full order right away. The food arrived impressively fast. Our server, Laura, was absolutely fantastic—friendly, attentive, and cheerful throughout, even when we asked a few silly questions. She made us feel genuinely welcome. We kept it simple with a Margherita, a veggie pizza, and garlic bread. The garlic bread was out of this world—definitely a highlight. My wife and I shared the pizza, and there was still enough left to take home. To top it all off, when the bill arrived, we noticed they hadn’t charged us for our drinks, and they even gave our little girl a complimentary brownie. We were told the drinks were on the house. It was such a thoughtful gesture. Overall, we had a wonderful experience, and a big shoutout to Laura for making our evening so memorable.

  • ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of the best Neapolitan pizzas I’ve had in Manchester! The crust is light and perfectly charred, the tomato sauce tastes fresh and rich, and the mozzarella melts beautifully with just the right balance of basil and olive oil. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, and the staff are friendly and quick. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic Italian pizza — definitely worth every penny! ????????

  • my partner and i came in to celebrate our 7th anniversary, as this is the first place we had a date night when we first visited manchester while thinking about moving here. as always, the food was amazing. we split the garlic bread appetizer and it is AMAZING. indulgent, cheesy, garlicky, salty, bready. could house several of these. there’s nothing else you really need, and yet we carried on. my husband got the triple pepperoni and a crispy diet coke. classic, perfect, satisfying. i stole pepperonis off his pizza while he wasn’t looking and was very surprised to find it was incredible. like it tasted like it belongs on a fancy charcuterie board. ANYWAY, i ordered an entire burrata to myself because it’s my favorite thing in the world and we were celebrating and life is short, so eat the entire burrata. i could write a novel about my feelings on burrata and how much i love this particular one, but i wont. just get it. i also got a cesar salad and rudy’s is not shy with the parmesan, which is truly beautiful. i did end up covering it cracked black pepper. i did whack some cesar dressing drenched romaine leaves on my crispy bread and then topped it with burrata, some of the best little tomatoes i’ve ever had (rudy’s always has good tomatoes, i can trust them) and some dressed arugala. savoury girls get it. OH also i got a cloudy apple and cherry spritz and this is literally my favorite drink ever and ive tried to recreate it at home but i cant, so rudy’s has a lifetime customer. anyway, all of this was made possible by our incredibly personable server, emily. she was warm and very accommodating, she got all of our food perfectly, and did so while buzzing around a very busy restaurant, but i never saw her break a sweat. she also took a beat to have a chat with us, and when she found out it was our anniversary, she got us some tiramisu (to takeaway, we were very full) she was super sweet, witty, and gave very cool, chill vibes. anyone who is lucky enough to get her as a server is in for a treat. IN CONCLUSION thank you for the cozy night out helping us celebrate. we loved the food, the staff, and the overall inclusive vibes. we will 100% be back again, this is a favorite date night spot for us. thank you emily!!!! also p.s. the tiramisu was an utter joy to consume

  • Such good service from the minute we walked in! Staff were all so welcoming and made us feel so comfortable. Food came out so quickly which we appreciated and it was incredible! Garlic bread is always a must, followed by a Carni pizza with garlic alioli & hot honey. Great evening & atmosphere

  • Second time coming to Rudy's Ancoats (we’re not local!) and it’s been wonderful as before! The staff are so friendly and happy to chat to you when you’re not sure what to have, or when you’re just really into Rudy’s like we are! It’s a lovely laid back atmosphere, and the food is always absolutely delicious. We shared the triple pepperoni and the porchetta and they were both banging. There’s not many pizzas where I live the crusts just as much as the middle! (Picture has prince missing because I literally couldn’t stop myself from diving straight in)
